Germany, Luftwaffe. A Ground Assault Badge Hold affixed to a replacement wool(Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid at the top by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a stylized cloud from which a lightning bolt emanates and strikes the ground, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a rounded integral catch, unmarked, measuring 43. 46 mm (w) x 56. 59 mm (h), weighing 33. 7 grams, minor
